"I initially assumed it would be just another gaming platform with occasional matches. But I discovered so much more. It's a true community with people who truly care about one another, share victories, and support one another through every obstacle. I've improved my communication skills, developed more strategic thinking, and—most importantly—made friends I never would have otherwise met. Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you've wanted to know but were afraid to ask
What is the most bizarre thing that has ever occurred at a tournament?
+Where do I begin, oh boy? Our stream once abruptly cut to a player's cat crossing their keyboard in the middle of a high-stakes MOBA tournament. Despite their feline teammate's "help," the player managed to win the match, and the conversation went crazy. That cat has more tournament experience than some of our players, a fact that we still make fun of in the office!
Do athletes actually consume that much junk food while competing?
+The majority of our professional athletes are actually quite health-conscious, despite what many people think! Our in-house nutritionist assists teams with meal planning. On one occasion, however, a team brought their own "lucky" snacks, a combination of energy drinks and gummy bears, which they claimed were crucial to their victory. Spoiler alert: their abilities, not the sugar rush, were most likely the cause!
What is the most surprising ability you have observed in a gamer?
+While waiting for the game to load, one of our players managed to solve a Rubik's cube in less than 30 seconds using just one hand! Another was a classical pianist who said that after practicing difficult piano pieces, their gaming reflexes improved. That connection turns out to have some scientific basis!
How do you respond to technical difficulties that arise during live competitions?
+From internet problems to power outages to a mouse that decided to retire in the middle of a game, our tech team has seen it all! For our backup systems, we have backup systems. The most amusing solution? On one occasion, the WiFi at a player's hotel went out, so we had to use their phone as a makeshift hotspot. That phone is now framed in our office as a reminder that anything can happen because they won the match!
Which team name is the most inventive that you have ever seen?
+We've seen some gems, huh? One of my favourites was "The Keyboard Warriors Who Can't Type." "404 Team Not Found" and "Lagging Behind But Still Trying" were also present. The finest aspect? These teams frequently outperform those with "serious" names. Perhaps a sense of humour has a purpose!
Are there any pre-game customs among players?
+You'd be shocked! Before each game, one team performs a coordinated dance routine. For "good luck," another player must wear socks that don't match. One of us even insisted on playing only after completing ten push-ups. The most peculiar? A player who attends every tournament with their pet rock. Yes, it has a seat of its own, and it is painted to resemble a game controller!
What is the most touching thing you have ever seen?
+At one tournament, a player's grandmother, who had never played a video game before, came to watch her grandson compete. She cheered the loudest in the room despite having no idea what the game was about. The finest aspect? She provided all of the team with homemade cookies. Our community is unique because of that kind of support!
How do you maintain enthusiasm throughout lengthy competitions?
+We have everything from spontaneous dance-offs to mini-games in between games. Our commentators are experts at maintaining a lively atmosphere; one of them even used pirate lingo to commentate an entire match! We also have a "stress relief room" that has a punching bag and yoga mats. The best-selling item? Players can release their pent-up energy by donning this enormous inflatable dinosaur costume!
